On the evening of August 24, 2014, Huawei unveiled two new products: the Honor 3C Play smartphone and the Honor Tablet.
The Honor Tablet, Huawei's first under the Honor brand, was designed to be a popular and affordable product. Thanks to its outstanding configuration and friendly price, it was hailed as "China's Best Tablet" by media and users alike at the launch event.

On September 4, 2014, Huawei's new flagship phone, the Ascend Mate 7, was unveiled at a press conference in Berlin. This launch followed successful collaborations with Xiaomi, Samsung, HTC, and Meizu, marking another milestone for Wuxi Henglihong Ceramic Sand.

The Huawei Mate 7 features an integrated body design with a three-part structure on the back, using aerospace-grade aluminum. The back is treated with ceramic sandblasting and secondary anodizing, with precision CNC cutting at the chamfers. Many of Huawei's new products, such as the Ascend P6, P7, Honor Tablet, and Honor Band, also use this ceramic sandblasting process.

On April 15, 2015, Huawei's highly anticipated flagship phone, the Huawei P8, was grandly launched in London. The P8 continues the elegant and fashionable design style of the P series, introducing a unique camera concept and creating a high-quality user experience, once again shaking up the high-end smartphone market.
The Huawei P8 combines technology, fashion, and art with its integrated metal body treated with zirconium sandblasting, making it just 6.4mm thick—thinner than the iPhone 6 Plus—and highlighting the metal texture. On September 3, 2014, Samsung held simultaneous launch events for the SAMSUNG GALAXY Note 4 in Beijing, New York, and Berlin's IFA. For the first time, Note 4 used a metal frame and continued to use Henglihong's ceramic sandblasting process, previously applied to the back cover of the GALAXY S5. This significantly improved the texture and feel of the back cover, earning widespread praise from users. Building on this success, Samsung decided to adopt Henglihong's ceramic sandblasting process for Note 4's metal frame and back cover.
The Outlook for Samsung GALAXY Note 5: Continuing the Legacy, Enhancing Quality
Following the success of Galaxy S6 and S6 edge, Samsung plans to launch the next flagship product, Galaxy Note 5. According to Phone Arena, Samsung has given the Note 5 the project codename "Project Noble," reflecting its impressive stature. The Note 5 will feature a design similar to the S6, with a B170 zirconium sandblasted metal frame and glass back cover, just 7.9mm thick, enhancing its texture and grip. Samsung aims to bring more changes and innovation to the market with this design.
In terms of hardware, Note 5 is expected to feature a high-spec 4K screen with a pixel density of 746ppi, and production is set to start in August. It may also use Samsung's Exynos 7420 processor with 4GB RAM, and its camera is expected to be upgraded to 18MP with optical image stabilization, further improving the photography experience.
