4. Why Buy from Jiangsu Henglihong Technology

Hundreds of manufacturers supply aluminum oxide abrasive. The difference between a reliable long-term supply partner and a commodity vendor who ships inconsistent quality becomes clear the first time a CoA discrepancy, out-of-spec particle size, or documentation gap causes a production stoppage or a failed coating inspection. Here is what sets HLH apart in a competitive market.

QMS
ISO 9001:2015 Certified
Third-party audited quality management system covering all production processes, in-process testing, and outgoing inspection. Certificate available on request.
CoA
Lot CoA on Every Shipment
Every shipment includes a lot-specific Certificate of Analysis reporting Al₂O₃, Fe₂O₃, SiO₂, moisture, bulk density, and full FEPA sieve analysis — tied to your production lot number, not a generic template.
XRF
In-House Laboratory
XRF analyzers, laser particle size instrumentation, and automated sieve stations are integrated into every production line — chemistry and particle size are verified on every batch, not extrapolated from raw material certificates.
AMS
Aerospace & Medical Compliance
Conformance statements to AMS 2431/9 and EN ISO 11126-7 available on request. Third-party inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek supported. Traceability documentation for NADCAP-audited supply chains.
PKG
Export-Ready Packaging
25 kg PP woven bags with PE moisture barrier, 1,000–1,200 kg FIBC bulk bags, ISPM-15 heat-treated pallets as standard. OEM / private-label packaging available for distributor accounts from 10 MT per SKU.
SHP
Global Export Capability
Regular shipments to North America, Europe, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Australasia, and South America. FOB Shanghai, CIF, DAP, and DDP Incoterms available. Full export documentation including Certificate of Origin.
What customers consistently report: lot-to-lot particle size consistency that keeps blast cabinet profiles stable across months of production, documentation packages that pass first-time at NADCAP and ISO 13485 supplier audits, and responsive technical support when application questions arise — not just a shipping confirmation email.

Pre-shipment documentation and container loading
Container is loaded and stuffed under supervision. Full export documentation is prepared: commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading, Certificate of Analysis, Certificate of Origin, and SDS. All documents are sent to you digitally before vessel departure. Hard copies are included in the container (typically in a document sleeve on the inside of the container door).
2–3 business days
6
Ocean freight transit
Container departs from Shanghai port. Typical ocean transit times: Asia to Europe (25–32 days), Asia to USA East Coast (28–35 days), Asia to USA West Coast (18–24 days), Asia to Middle East (12–18 days), Asia to Australasia (14–20 days). You receive the Bill of Lading and tracking information immediately after vessel departure.
14–35 days depending on destination
7
Arrival, customs clearance, and delivery
For FOB/CFR/CIF orders, you arrange import customs clearance and inland delivery at the destination port. For DAP or DDP orders, HLH arranges delivery to your named location. On receipt, verify container seal number against the Bill of Lading, inspect packaging for moisture damage or physical damage before signing the delivery receipt. Incoterms & Shipping Options

HLH quotes FOB Shanghai as the default pricing basis. We also offer CFR, CIF, DAP, and DDP to qualifying markets. For buyers without experience importing from China, we recommend CIF — HLH arranges ocean freight and marine insurance, leaving only import customs clearance and inland delivery to your logistics provider at the destination. For bulk buyers with established freight forwarder relationships, FOB typically delivers the lowest landed cost when combined with your negotiated freight rates.

Urgent requirement? If your project requires media before an ocean freight container can arrive, we can ship trial or partial quantities by air freight. Air freight is significantly more expensive per kilogram than ocean, but for urgent production requirements or first-article qualification samples, it eliminates the 5–7 week ocean transit. Request air freight pricing in your enquiry and we will quote both options so you can make an informed decision.

7. Quality Assurance & Documentation

Every HLH export shipment includes the following quality documentation as standard — no additional charge, no request needed:

  • Lot-specific Certificate of Analysis (CoA) — Al₂O₃ purity, Fe₂O₃, SiO₂, TiO₂ (brown), Na₂O, moisture content, bulk density, and full FEPA sieve analysis (D10/D50/D90 and sieve stack retained percentages). Tied to your production lot number.
  • FEPA Particle Size Distribution Certificate — confirms compliance with FEPA 42-2 F-grits tolerance for the specified grit designation.
  • Safety Data Sheet (SDS) — REACH-compliant, available in English and other languages on request.
  • Packing List — itemizes each pallet, lot number, net and gross weights for customs clearance.
  • Commercial Invoice and Bill of Lading — with HS code 2818.10, country of origin, and agreed Incoterms.

Available on request (at no additional cost unless third-party testing is required):

  • AMS 2431/9 conformance statement (aerospace procurement)
  • EN ISO 11126-7 conformance statement (European industrial specifications)
  • Certificate of Origin — Form E (ASEAN-China FTA) or standard CO
  • Third-party pre-shipment inspection by SGS, Bureau Veritas, or Intertek (at buyer’s cost)
  • REACH compliance declaration and RoHS declaration

8. Frequently Asked Questions

The standard minimum order quantity for export is one full container load (1 FCL) — typically 20–25 metric tonnes depending on grit size and packaging format. For first-time buyers conducting qualification testing, trial orders from 25 kg are available, shipped by LCL ocean freight or air freight. Standard FCL orders on stocked grits (F16–F220) typically leave our facility within 7–10 business days of order confirmation. Total lead time to your port, including ocean transit, is typically 5–7 weeks to Europe and 4–6 weeks to the USA. For urgent requirements, air freight cuts total lead time to 2–3 weeks at a significantly higher per-kilogram freight cost.

The decision rule is straightforward: use brown fused aluminum oxide for carbon steel, cast iron, concrete, and any ferrous substrate where iron contamination from the abrasive is inconsequential. Use white fused aluminum oxide for stainless steel, duplex alloys, aluminum, titanium, glass, ceramics, medical implants, and any application where the substrate or service environment cannot tolerate iron contamination. If you are unsure, white fused is the safer choice — it performs equivalently to brown on all substrates where brown is appropriate, at a 30–60% unit price premium. For a full decision guide covering 12 real-world application scenarios, see: Brown vs White Aluminum Oxide: Which Should You Use?

Yes. We provide free physical samples (typically 1–2 kg per grit/grade) by international courier for qualified industrial buyers who are evaluating our product for a specific application. Larger trial quantities (25 kg–500 kg) can be arranged as paid sample orders, shipped by LCL ocean freight or air freight depending on your timeline. Sample orders include a full CoA for the specific production lot from which the sample was drawn — so your incoming test results are directly comparable to the data we provide, not taken from a separate “clean” lot. To request a sample, contact us with your company name, application description, and grit specification.

Yes. Mixed-grit and mixed-grade container loads are standard for distributor customers. Each grit and grade combination is packed on a separate, clearly labeled pallet lot with its own lot number and CoA. The packing list itemizes each lot separately for customs declaration and quality record purposes. The only practical constraint is the container’s net payload limit — typically 21–23 MT for a 20-foot dry container depending on the container’s tare weight. Our logistics team will calculate the optimal pallet mix to maximize container utilization and provide a full packing plan before loading.

Our white fused aluminum oxide meets the material composition requirements of AMS 2431/9 (≥ 99.5% Al₂O₃, < 0.1% Fe₂O₃, FEPA particle size distribution), and we provide written conformance statements to AMS 2431/9 and EN ISO 11126-7 on request. We support third-party laboratory verification for aerospace supplier qualification processes and have supplied to NADCAP-audited blast shops in North America and Europe. For medical device applications requiring ISO 13485 supply chain documentation, we provide full lot-specific CoA, traceability records, and can support the documentation requirements of FDA 21 CFR Part 820 and EU MDR 2017/745 regulated manufacturing processes. For the full aerospace and medical application guide, see: Aluminum Oxide Blast Media for Aerospace & Medical.

For first-time customers, our standard payment terms are 30% T/T (telegraphic transfer) deposit on order confirmation and 70% T/T balance payment against the copy of the Bill of Lading before original documents are released. Letter of Credit (L/C) at sight is accepted for orders above approximately $30,000 USD on request. For established customers with a track record of on-time payment, we can discuss open-account (net 30 or net 45) terms or reduced deposit percentages after the first successful order cycle. We do not accept PayPal or credit card payments for commercial export orders. All invoices are in USD as standard; EUR invoicing is available for European buyers on request.
